The Huntsville Hospital needs your help ensuring that we maintain and improve our facilities and attract top-flight health care professionals to our area.

We are, justifiably, proud of the health care services currently available in our community. Our health care services are well run fiscally responsible organizations that are planning for future needs in a forward-looking manner.

We are launching a fundraising campaign that ensures the long-term success of these health services. Included in this campaign is an endowment fund meant to be a legacy -- a fund that allows all of us who rely on our high quality health care services to ensure that we provide for our capital requirements. These include upgrades to our facilities and purchasing the latest equipment to attract the best health professionals in Canada. We must also continue to meet the growing need in our community for home care and nursing home care.

We believe that our campaign will succeed because the people of Muskoka and East Parry Sound have a proven track record, characterized by community mindedness and generosity. We intend to reach out to our Board members, our medical staff, our employees and volunteers. We will reach out to seasonal residents, the families of people who have been personally impacted by our Hospital, Nursing Home and other health care services; we will need the support of other individuals in the community, as well as corporations, charitable organizations, service clubs and local government.

The 1990s will undoubtedly be remembered as a time when health care delivery changed dramatically in Ontario. With your help, the Huntsville Hospital Foundation will be remembered as having led the way in giving people the ability to help make that change in a very positive and substantial way as we enter the next century.
